Mark Lundahl was nominated by the Legislative Budget and Audit Committee in August 2026 to serve as Legislative Auditor for the State of Alaska. He will be presented to the legislature for appointment during the next legislative session. In his role, he is responsible for leadership and oversight of the Division of Legislative Audit. More specifically, Mr. Lundahl oversees the planning, coordination, and delivery of the State’s regulatory financial reports (ACFR and the single audit) and performance audits intended to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of state government. Further, he works directly with legislators and legislative staff to communicate audit results and provide advice on fiscal matters. Mr. Lundahl has over 20 years of experience in accounting, auditing, and financial reporting.
